  • VICTIM: Maria Ulva Sai Sribuan(22)
  • SEX: Female
  • BIRTH: May 5, 1951
  • LOCATION: Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta
  • REPORT: Missing
  • INITIAL INVESTIGATION AND REPORT:

Based on the statement of Mrs. Desi Kartika Sari, on May 5, 1973 at around 8 am, Maria said goodbye to go to work at the Bunda Kandung orphanage . Maria worked as a volunteer nurse since she graduated from a school under the same foundation, namely the Bunda Kandung Foundation. Mrs. Desi herself is Maria's stepmother and Fatin Marini's biological mother, she worked as a housemaid at the residence of Dr. Dwi Rossalina, Mrs. Desi adopted Maria when she was still in 3rd grade at high school. From the information that we got, Maria's biological mother is Adinda Sai Sribuan, and her biological father is Topaz Hendarto Sanjaya Sai Sribuan.

Maria is a kind and gentle person, although she almost never smiles, but from the story we got, it says that Maria really loves helping people around her and often takes extra time to help further at the orphanage. Maria's colleagues we have interviewed are also very reluctant and rely on her very great figure. Some of Maria's colleagues at the orphanage confused and in disbelief when we came and asked for information about Maria. When we explained that Maria had been reported missing, many of them immediately expressed various possibilities and different scenarios but always mentioned one name of the same person, "Darto" who is none other than Maria's biological father, Topaz Hendarto Sanjaya S. S.

Darto and Adinda were officially married in 1951, but Maria was born in May 1951. According to several sources and Desi's own account, this is not surprising, as Adinda worked as an entertainer or "night butterfly" in the area. Darto, on the other hand, was a man of uncertain profession and was a frequent consumer of alcohol and gambling, which had left him heavily in debt. Initially, was a businessman or "pedicab boss" with many employees, but due to his gambling addiction, he lost all of his possessions and his job. For Adinda herself, it was quite difficult to find further information beyond that of an entertainer.

Mrs. Desi said she first met Maria when she was asked by Adinda to find Maria a school when she had just graduated from junior high school at Pasar Minggu Middle School. "At that time, I saw Maria's beautiful and sweet face with Ms. Dinda (Adinda) who asked me to put her in (find) a school for Maria who had just graduated," said Mrs. Desi. From that moment, their relationship began to grow closer. Mrs. Desi herself often felt sorry and confused because she knew her parents' conditions were not good for a child's environment. Often, Mrs. Desi asked Maria to stay at her house because Maria's house was often visited by random men who were none other than her mother's customers. "I felt afraid and didn't dare to imagine Maria living in a house that was often visited by strange men, especially since she was still young," said Mrs. Desi.

Darto and Adinda's household was very messy and not good for a child. Darto already knew his wife's job because that's where they met and got acquainted, but after Adinda lost his wealth and job, Adinda urged Ujang to continue supporting her, but unfortunately, Darto could not do anything. Adinda had asked for a divorce from Darto several times, but Ujang continued to refuse. Adinda also offered a solution so that Darto would let her work again as an entertainer, Darto could not refuse it even though at first he did not like it when Adinda returned to making love with a random man. Adinda also often came home with luxury goods and jewelry which were often sold to pay for living expenses. Although only two people could provide information about Adinda, they both said the same thing; Adinda enjoyed her work which often resulted in many rewards ranging from money, jewelry, and luxury goods. This is where the family life began to become scary.
